Coast and Castle

A section of the ruins at Dunure Castle,Ayrshire, Scotland, with a choice of benches and superb sea views across the Firth of Clyde to the Isle of Arran and the Kintyre Peninsula.

The castle ruins have been stabilised and the public are free to explore from the dungeons upwards,

In August 1563, Mary, Queen of Scots, visited the castle for three days during her third progress round the west of the country

In 16.9 therefor a large view would probably be better.

So wonderful to see.
... the construction with the natural stones, the vegetation and the patina that characterises this ruin.
