Another image from the archives once again it's 2018,
This is Loch Fyne at Inveraray Pier with the Clyde Puffer "Vital Spark" She was launched in 1943 as "VIC 27" (victualling inshore craft) These ships were a World War II derivative of the iconic Clyde-built puffers which, for nearly a century, were the lifeblood of coastal communities up and down the west coast of Scotland.
She was the “"the smertest boat in the coastin' tred", with her blood red hull, shiny brass whistle and cargoes of anything from Heilan coos to furniture, and plenty of whisky.
She also starred in the mini-series, Para Handy – Master Mariner
I recommend a large view,,,,,,, HFF and a lovely weekend to all!
I have a link to a programme on the Clyde Puffers for anyone who may be interested,
