With Orton effect is better for me. There is similar effect also on PicMonkey. And on Snapseed for Android somewhat similar effect goes with the name "Glamour shine".
My way of thinking is that photography is or can be a tool to create illusions. Not necessarily far from reality, but add something extra to it. Like what Ansel Adams did in the darkroom.
