Misty morning trees

This is a photo from last year, but this morning's weather feels very similar!

In the misty background is the church at Frampton on Severn in Gloucestershire. It's a charming village, with what is said to be the longest village green in England, and is about 22 acres (9 hectares) in size. There is a cricket pitch at one end of the green, which is, conversely, one of the smallest in England!

Volker, we live about 25km from Slad, and are fans of Lee's writing. The whole area is still beautiful, and Lee's heritage is very strong, with land owned by his family preserved for the nation (https://www.gloucestershirewildlifetrust.co.uk/nature-reserves/laurie-lee-wood). His local pub, the Woolpack, still serves great food and drink, though it's often very busy with "Cider With Rosie" tourists of course.
