Due to a lack of inspiration with photography I decided to try something new!

I searched the internet for lifelike colouring pictures.
Wanted to see what I could achieve with colouring in Photoshop.
I still use Photoshop CS6 as I don't want to pay a monthly rental on software that may sit unused for months at a time.

The greyscale image inset is the colouring page freely available on the internet.

Used various blending modes to create the colouring. I think that the eyes come out very well.
Also created the skin texture within Photoshop.
I guess I must have spent about 8 hours to get the final results.
As an after thought I added freckles too.

This is the first time that I have attempted this but I have to say that overall I am very happy with the outcome.

Comments and criticisms on this would be greatly appreciated.
