Sunday in the PATH

PATH is a 30-km network of tunnels under downtown Toronto. Five thousand people work in it, and thousands more eat and shop there. On weekends, though, almost all the businesses are shut, and it's used mainly by people looking for warmth in the winter or air conditioning in the summer.

The PATH, an interesting project.
I used the PATH occasionally when it was (too) hot outside!
But despite the signage, I always had trouble finding my way around the PATH...

John FitzGerald replied to Buelipix:

I and many others had the same problem, Alex. Toronto is not good at wayfinding. PATH's not a place I remember fondly. The ventilation was poor, the food courts were boring, and if there was ever a fire in some of the sectiond down there, there would be carnage.

Amazing! I knew there was an underground shopping mall in Toronto, but never realised the scale of it..!!

A interesting and beautifully lit image John.

John FitzGerald replied to Keith Burton:

Thanks, Keith. It has two parts, which are not connected. However, the larger part accounts for most of its size.
