Now THAT hits one between the eyes! (At least this one.) It's a bold statement, to be sure. By its placement, the left red seems to menace the blue-grays and whites below its overhang. I wouldn't like to be there...

I saw it as a triumphal arch, Bob, but you may have persuaded me otherwise.

John FitzGerald replied to Jaap van 't Veen:

Something we're desperately short of around here, Jaap. Except in the fall, of course. Then everybody goes for long drives to see the leaves, but no one ever realizes that maybe people like bright colours.

Aaargh.............that hurt my eyes..!!

As rdhinmn says, it's a bold statement................about what, I'm not sure but I like it simply as a colourful and eye-catching abstract.

John FitzGerald replied to Keith Burton:

Thanks, Keith. I think I'm getting tired of all the green. In winter, of course, I lomg to see leaves again, but I guess I get bored easily.

I concur, dC. One of my favourite Nongshim brands. In Toronto you can get them everywhere, but here you have to go out of your way.

Keith Burton replied to John FitzGerald:

Personally, I'm looking forward to autumn, when the leaves all change colours. It's probably my favourite season for photography.
