John FitzGerald replied to The Limbo Connection:

Thanks, TLC. I was going to say something disparaging here about photojournalism, but then I visited the local installation of the World Press Photo Exhibition today and was deeply impressed by many of the contributions. It seems not to have come or to be coming to the UK this year (which means London is behind Chicoutimi, QC) but is now on in several European cities, including Copenhagen, Berlin, and Madrid. Next month it will be in Paris, at the Galleria Carla Sozzani.

Keith Burton said:

I thought at first that sign said "murder here" and I thought Wow! They have a drive-in for everything in Canada ;-))

It was a bit of an anticlimax to realise it said "order here". An interesting shot though, with nice light, especially on the ladies hair. Were you shooting from inside the car, by any chance?

John FitzGerald replied to Keith Burton:

Now you know why the murder rate is so much higher here than in the UK, Keith. Actually, this is my niece ordering at Tim Hortons, and yes, I was in the car.

I just reak=lized this was probably inspired by (copied from) the cover of the Penguin edition of John Bingham's My Name is Michael Sibley.
