It's a radio station, Denis. Canadian stations' call letters all start with C, except for Newfoundland and Labrador, whose stations' call letters started with V before they joined Canada and still do.
In Canadian French, chum = boyfriend. Also spelt tchomme in French.
Another busy, but interesting street shot John..............I like the "cage" which appears to have nothing in it except fresh air! The yellow upright thing bolted into the pavement is obviously connected to something, but it leaves me wondering what.........and another lady in short shorts too :-)
Thanks, Keith. The yellow upright is a yellow safety cover on a strut that's holding up what we call a hydro pole, which is a pole for a power line, whatever that is called elsewhere. It's vertical because it passes over a strut projecting from the pole. People in Toronto spend a large part of the year bundled up, so in the summer many try to even things out.
The cage is around construction. The empty space is to allow machinery to back up.
