The silhouettes remind me of the end of The Seventh Seal.

We’ve got the Zodiac Heads now, at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. I tried to take some photos of them but they just didn’t look interesting to me against the wide rolling green parkland. They seem more dramatic in this urban space.

Another example of a frieze frame. Asemic writing, maybe.

It really is a wonderful capture.

John FitzGerald replied to Steve Bucknell:

Thanks, Steve, especially for the idea of the frieze frame. There are capabilities there, as Lancelot Brown used to say.

I've seen photos of a couple of the other exhibits, and this seems to me to be the best site I've seen, perhaps only because there's little to distract the attention. Rolling parkland is probably a serious distraction.

Thanks, Keith. I have one more of the heads to post, but will wait a bit.

John FitzGerald replied to Diane Putnam:

Thanks, Diane. Yes, lunchtime is quite dynamic down there, and you've given me an idea for a series -- Nathan Phillips through the day and year. Thanks.
