Saturday 12 September 2026 (0850) - Transport Made Simple/Central Connect/Simonds of Botesdale YJ26 VMO, a Yutong GT14 new in July 2026, seen at Fiveways, Barton Mills, when working the 0600 service from Heathrow to Norwich.

Quite unexpectedly the coach had made a very short pit-stop at the Shell Service Station and was now continuing on its way. This explains the unusual exit from the A1101 Mildenhall Road. It would seem the driver needed to ‘spend a penny’ so made the quick call. At least he didn’t have to leave the coach by making use of the on board facilities!

As I trotted back to the roundabout from where the coach was stopped I managed to hit a ‘wrong button’ on the camera resulting in the shot being a one second movie. As I took this shot the driver gave a toot on the horn.

The road surface around the roundabout had been re-laid during the previous nights with overnight road closures. New lettering on the surface was now in place although the traffic cones still remained at the roadside.
