Thursday 12 August 1999 - Guide Friday became a countrywide sightseeing operation following its success with open top bus tours in Stratford-upon-Avon. The company employed secondhand buses most of which had been converted to open top.

HNP 153S, an East Lancashire bodied Leyland Atlantean AN68A/1R new to Brighton Corporation in March 1978 as their number 2 registered TYJ 2S, was seen at Dover ferry port working the Dover Tour.

The famous White Cliffs of Dover can be seen above the terminal roof.
