Cambus 430 (G520 LWU) in Mildenhall – 1 May 1997 (353-10A)
Thursday 1 May 1997 (General Election Day) – Digging up the roadway in King Street, Mildenhall. The gas contractors created a one-way flow round the triangular island housing the War Memorial – quite straight forward for small vehicles but challenging for bus and coach drivers.
Cambus 430 (G520 LWU), driven by Ronnie Nesbit, is seen negotiating the works as it arrived in King Street when working the 0905 National Express service 347 from Great Yarmouth to Taunton. It is a Plaxton Paramount 3500 bodied Volvo B10M that had been new to Wallace Arnold in March 1990.
