Friday 26 July 2024 (0837) – The loading stands in Bury St. Edmunds bus station seen from the upper deck of Coach Services Limited CS63 BUS parked on Bay 6. It is a Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B9TL new in October 2013, working service 84 from Bury St. Edmunds (West Suffolk Hospital 0825 and Bus Station 0835) to Thetford.

I don’t think any of the buses were on the stands they were supposed to be on due fundamentally to a couple of buses that were between trips unnecessarily occupying loading.stands. This resulted in live departures being ousted to other stands! This service was supposed to load on Stand 2 but was on stand 6. It all was rather chaotic!!

Stand 2: Stephensons 643 (YN55 NKE), an East Lancs Omnidekka bodied Scania N94UD that had been new to London Sovereign as their SLE36 in October 2005, arrived on service 16 from Newmarket

Stand 3: Coach Services Limited CS12 BUS, a Wright bodied Volvo B7RLE new in April 2012, working the 0845 service 332 to Euston

Stand 4: Unoccupied after Simonds Coaches service 338 to Garboldisham had departed at 0835

Stand 5: Mulleys YJ57 YDB, a 10.2 metre long Optare Solo new to Peterborough City Council in December 2007, to be the 0855 service 377 to Bradfield St. George

Stand 6: Coach Services on service 84 to Thetford (0825 from West Suffolk Hospital and 0835 from Bus Station)

Stand 7: Hedingham/Chambers 467 (YN58 BCK), a Scania OmniLink CL230UB new to affiliated Brighton & Hove Bus & Coach Company (53) in September 2008, to be the 0910 service 374 to Clare

Stand 8: Stephensons (EU10 NVS), an Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 new in August 2010, arrived on service 14 from Haverhill to return as service 15 to Haverhill

Stand 9: Now unoccupied. The bus passing by on St. Andrews Street North is Coach Services Limited YT09 YHK which had just departed Stand 9 bound for West Suffolk Hospital. I think this was supposed to load on Stand 2 but had to load on Stand 9.
