The Oléron Island is France’s largest island on the Atlantic coast. As soon as you arrive, you’ll be charmed by the colourful huts, a reminder of the island’s oyster-farming past. They once served as shelters and workshops for oyster farmers. Now disused, they have been converted into shops and studios for local artists.
