Law Hill

I had to go somewhere, but I planned to leave earlier to grab a few picture, since it was a clear night. This was one of them.

Bingo the plan and workings came together Perfectly stars look very good. Looking at data turn long noise reduction on, so you 15 sec shot + 15 sec noise reduction. Thats how I do it long noise reduction works. Looking forward to a few more.

Chris Bowness replied to Steve Paxton:

Thanks so much, Steve. I've been looking at some of my earlier photos and some of them don't have the problem at F2.8. The main thing now is I hopefully can catch it going forward and be able to do something about it. Thanks also for the tip on the long noise reduction. It's turned on now so hopefully less post NR needed.

Always good to see such shots of our night skies with stars. I think I can just about see the Milky Way too. Well done.

Best Wishes. Herb

Chris Bowness replied to Herb Riddle:

Thank you Herb. It was really dark and I had finite time. I've passed this spot a few times in the daylight and wanted to try it at night.

All the stars in the sky, the dark silhouette of the tree and the small lights of the two houses in the background - a fantastic, almost surreal shot.

Thanks you so much Christa. I'm glad you like it. This spot draws me back from time to time. I need to go further up next time.

A wonderful combination. The tree in the foreground, the hills and the blue night sky with the stars fit perfectly together!
