Maiden's Pap and Morven

Maiden's Pap is named such because is it the shape of a human breast. Morven, the hill that is behind in this picture is much bigger and the origin of the name is (I think Big Hill). It is the the tallest hill in the region of Caithness that is in the far north of Scotland.

Yes it's very well named. I feel a bit guilty for having taken so many pictures of it.

There are a few 'Paps' in Scotland as you no doubt know :) A lovely shot here in impressive lighting. Well done.

Cheers. Herb

Chris Bowness replied to Herb Riddle:

Thanks Herb. I do think this is the best Pap I've seen, not that I go looking.
This area is very quirky and impressive and I've been twice. It's on the edge of the massive blanket bog that is the flow country and it is empty and just seems to go on for ever.

The light is very beautiful and what a landscape this is. An area that we love. Well captured Chris

Thank you Carol. It's a bit surreal and with the empty moorlands beyond I love it!
