Gerade noch rechtzeitig vor dem Ende der Blühsaison konnte ich vom Türkenbund (Lilium martagon) eine Aufnahme machen. Man sieht neben der wunderschönen Blüte eine bereits verwelkte (links) und oben sich bildende Fruchtstände. Die Aufnahme entstand in einem fränkischen Laubmischwald.
Der Türkenbund gilt in Deutschland nicht als gefährdet, ist jedoch nach der Bundesartenschutzverordnung besonders geschützt. Wie alle Liliengewächse ist der Türkenbund hochgiftig besonders für Katzen.

Just in time before the end of the flowering season, I managed to take a photograph of the martagon lily (Lilium martagon). Alongside the beautiful flower, you can see one that has already wilted (on the left) and fruit clusters forming at the top. The photograph was taken in a mixed deciduous forest in Franconia.
The martagon lily is not considered endangered in Germany, but is specially protected under the Federal Species Protection Ordinance. Like all members of the lily family, the martagon lily is highly toxic, particularly to cats.
