Dieser auffällige Schmetterling aus der Familie der Eulenfalter ist die Braune Tageule (Euclidia glyphica). Eulenfalter sind eigentlich Nachtfalter, die Braune Tageule ist aber ausnahmsweise tagaktiv. Die Raupen entwickeln sich in Wiesen an verschiedenen Blühpflanzen.
