This pair of pictures gives good insight into how the algorithm of "What's hot" works.

Because I wanted the image above to be seen by the algorithm as the newer one, I only uploaded it after the image from the Heine statue. Therefore, this image was rated higher by the algorithm, although it has only 15 stars, while "Heine" has 17 at the moment.
