The Dune du Pilat in its entire size seen from the Atlantic Ocean,
its estimated volume of sand is 60 million cubic metres, on the Atlantic side it has a gradient of between 5° and 20°, the land side drops between 30° and 40°.
The pure sandy area is 135 hectares.
