Pennine Way , Great Britain's first and most famous National Trail , along the Pennines , over limestone paving, peat bogs and glaciated abysses. These wild landscapes make the Pennine Way one of the country's most challenging long-distance hiking trails.

Die peat bogs am Pennine Way sind berüchtigt, der gute alte Alfred Wainwright stellte fest, dass unter guten Voraussetzungen der Untergrund wie porridge sei und bei schlechten wie oxtail soup;-) Ich glaube, euer Wanderweg war die bessere Wahl!
