it is imperative that poets leave the shelves
where they are buried
and come to the streets to proclaim the bliss of life
that everyone ears and nobody cares about

History is made of bloody repetitions
and useless sacrifices
hunger and death pour out on the civilization decay
on the Internet everything boils out to a déjà vu
the surreptitious AI adds some fascination to human incapacity
the Anthropocene will end on Doomsday

nothing to do
not even hope has a place to die

only poets keep proclaiming
until the end
that everything could be different
but no one listens to them and leaves them on shelves
until they crumble
and dust gravitates in the universal dictatorship

é imperioso que os poetas deixem as estantes
onde se sepultam
e venham para a rua apregoar a bonança da vida
que todos ouvem e ninguém cuida

a História é feita de repetições sangrentas
e sacrifícios inúteis
a fome e a morte derramam-se na decadência da civilização
a Internet tudo reduz a um interlúdio já visto
a sub-reptícia IA dá algum fascínio à incapacidade humana
a Terra está prestes a suicidar-se
o Antropoceno terminará no Dia do Juízo Final

nada a fazer
nem a esperança tem onde morrer

só os poetas continuam a proclamar
até ao fim
que tudo poderia ser diferente
mas ninguém os ouve e deixa-os esquecidos nas estantes
até que se desmoronem
e o pó gravite na ditadura universal
