Taken for 'The Sunday Challenge': "rugs carpets wall hangings"
this is detail from a silk kilim I brought back with me from a trip to Iran years ago. It's intended as a floor covering, but hangs on the living room wall, for a sense of scale the image is a 25cm section from the overall kilim which is around 2.5x1.25m and completely covered with images of animals and plants.
