Madagascar, Tomb built for King Radama I in Rova Manjakamiadana Palace Complex
Rova Manjakamiadana is a former royal palace in Antananarivo. King Radama I was died in 1828 and then Queen Rasoherina was died in 1868.
The Ruva served as the royal residence until the establishment of French rule in Madagascar in 1896. Since 1897, the Ruva has housed the Historical Museum.
In 1995, on the eve of its planned inscription as a World Heritage Site, the palace burned down. It has since been rebuilt from the ashes.
