Collemancio Castle (10th century) with formwork to protect the access the walled village which stands at 507 m above sea level, on the top of a wooded and widely cultivated hill. It is located approximately 7 km west of Cannara (at the end of the provincial road 412), approximately 30 km from Perugia and 175 km from Rome. It has a population of 78 inhabitants (2001 census)
Regarding the history of this ancient medieval village which is still identified today with the town of Collemancio itself, the first information dates back to 1224, when Honorius III granted jurisdiction over the castle of Collismanci to the bishop of Assisi. In 1293 it became an independent municipality and in 1377 it submitted to Perugia.
