Fantastic building. What was it before it became a Costa?

It is Sandersons Dept store; this pleasant. Costa on the mezzanine is an extra. The store tried to sell designer clothes and luxury extras; it always seemed an odd fit with the local area. It is closing soon, along with this Costa. I shall miss it; where will I get my Barbour gear from now?

Despite being spacious, it has a very pleasant atmosphere and a "mezzanine" just the way I like it.

We make a point of never visiting a Costa Coffee shop unless there is nowhere else available, but I have to admit that this looks rather classy.

A quick Google check on Stroud informs me I’ll have to fly from Manchester, and it’s going to take me 4 hrs and 40 mins.
