Sale!

Another week, another sale in Bridgwater's Fore Street, The statue is of Robert Blake who was born in Bridgwater in August 1598, the eldest son of Humphrey and Sarah Blake. His home is now the Blake Museum. Link to Admiral Blake's History, bridgwater-tc.gov.uk/history/17th-century/admiral-blake

Bridgwater is at the edge of the Somerset Levels, in level and well-wooded country. The town lies along both sides of the River Parrett; it has been a major inland port and trading centre since the industrial revolution.Wikipedia

Well captured Roger. I can remember when Admiral Blake was sitauted up where the bench is now. Not a lot of people in the town nowadays, despite the sales, as most shop in the retail park
HBM and have a good week ahead

Roger (Grisly) replied to Ecobird:

Thank you, It looked much more impressive on the Cornhill, the move was against the wishes of the town and pushed through at taxpayer's expense by the district council thankfully it will cease to exist come April
