Rhyne's & Droves

The Sedgemoor corner of the Somerset levels where drainage ditches are called Rhynes (local spelling) and roads both tarmac and dirt are Droves, This is Jacks Drove and it crosses Totney Drove at a junction in the distance,

Lovely perspective, Roger. I love the water courses, the path and the trees all converging towards the horizon. In Scots, a drainage ditch is called a 'sheuch'. In Scotland this word has another meaning that I won't mention on here. LOL. Best wishes, Joe
