Looks a 'little bit' overcrowded !!

This was the most crowded part of the route, Jaap, although there were spectators on the sidewalks and islands for about a kilometre north. I eventually got to see the torch before any of the people waiting for it, and it was an anti-climax, A young woman holding a torch. No showbiz at all.

Thanks, Ulrich. It does bring the day back to me, and it was a oretty good day. I have other photos of the crowd which I have posted before but then removed when the site appeared about to fold, so I may bring them back.

Now that you mention it. George, so had I. If you'd asked me out of the blue if people were using phone cameras in 2012 I probably would have been nonplussed. Until I saw this photo.

Full screen is definitely best John as it brings out not only the detail but the atmosphere. A little slice of history in the making. Well captured
