you took a pleasant photo and brought it to life. one doesn't think about this being sideways, it stands on it's own.
i wonder what it would look like if the right side light area was only one step wider, or a touch more than that, than the column next to it. but i'm just fiddling, curious. the photo keeps me that way - it makes me keep looking at it.
The right side area is the floor that just continues even further. On left side is a glimpse of the window/door frame. These are old stairs leading to a small opening, through which something like burning wood was carried into a cellar.
But yes, an other useful challenge would be to go and take retakes and different composition.
