Treading the Boards

Me, standing on some decking on the sea front at Southsea Hampshire, on a wet and cold afternoon yesterday. I was sheltering from the wind behind a closed ice-cream stall.

You can view large if you want..........but it won't make it more exciting :-))

I was going to be sarcastic and say "What? Is it summer in the UK already?" but instead I will say that your editing here was extremely effective, transforming decking into a striking work of art.

Love the spotting of the yellow lichen on these boards. No doubt when it's nearer holiday time - someone will come along with a pressure washer!

Keith Burton replied to Jenny McIntyre:

Thanks Jenny........and I expect you're right (although I suspect it's only the lichen and dirt. holding the boards together)!

An excellent shot of your day Keith! I was in Lyme Regis and the weather was much the same. No hood on my jacket and a broken umbrella.....still had a lovely day with my daughter though.

Keith Burton replied to Rosalyn Hilborne:

Yes, it pretty much summed up the weather Rosa.......but to be fair there were a couple of (very) short periods of sunshine but also featureless skies. Can't have everything I suppose!

It sounds like you got a soaking...........but glad you had a good day regardless.
