I'm not a tree expert but the golden leaves look vaguely like Hazel,

Thanks Roger...........the golden leaves really stood out and I just had to stop and take a shot. They were definitely beech leaves...........they seem to go on forever!

Gorgeous picture here Keith. I love the colouring in the woods here. Many years ago I used to live on the North Downs and was surrounded by woodlands - beautiful.
