The Stockton & Darlington Railway built this bridge in 1824 to cross the River Skerne, and it is still in use ! [the wing walls / abutments are later]. It was cleaned and cleared of vegetation in 2020.
In 2021 it became a Grade 1 listed structure, commemorating it's importance as a railway structure.
