really gorgeous color here and excellent composition. flowers are often photographed in bright sun, but the overcast light here brings out the subtle details of the flower and its color shades.

i'd love to have this in my group 'naturey crap - crappy nature' (name explained on group page) - if you want.

Nora Caracci replied to raingirl:

I've accepted the invite in your group, but I didn't well understood the "target" of the group, sorry.
Imperfect shots ? disagreeable subjects ? ...
Can you explain me, please ? Thanks !

raingirl replied to Nora Caracci:

I will try. The group has one focus, but two parts.
-----------------------------------
Focus: The group accepts all types of nature photos.

Part one "Naturey crap": Some people are sick of seeing "yet another pretty flower" picture, but yet they still take pictures like that. This group accepts those and completely understands the paradox.

Part two "Crappy nature": People sometimes judge their nature photos harshly. They think if their photo doesn't look like something from a magazine or isn't in "perfect" focus then it isn't good enough to post. This group welcomes those "imperfect" photos.
-----------------------------------

Group philosophy: No judgement! We are often too harsh on ourselves, and this group simply wants to enjoy seeing photos of nature, for nature's sake.

So, If you found a piece of nature you found interesting but didn't get it exactly how you wanted, you can still share it here. If you are kicking yourself for taking a 'pretty flower' photo, you can post it here and discover that it's okay - we don't always have to be making great art with our photos, we can just be wanting to share something we found beautiful or interesting.

And if you love flower photos or if you like how your photo came out and think it's awesome, you are welcome to share that here as well. Like I said, all types of nature photos are allowed.

So there are gorgeous nature photos in the group and there are not so great photos. This group leaves that labeling to the viewer. And I hope that people who are unsure of their own skill will start to gain some confidence by having their photos seen and commented on here.

About the name: I combined to groups that had been on flickr into one group here. I thought the name resulting name was funny. It doesn't translate well. But I like including humor (one could even post a nature photo that is funny - I'd love that).
-------------------------------------

I hope this helps! Ask me more if need be.

Thanks so much for adding your photo to the group. As I said, I love your photo and am so happy to see it again, and to be able to easily find it in the future here on the group.
