Looking For Salvation ...

Or even just a sign of better times to come for ipernity and those that care so deeply for it ... as ever though, the Devil may well be in the detail.

Or perhaps it's all just too little too late and we are all damned.

William said, "The survey is officially closed. Preliminary results are encouraging showing that if members work together and keep their commitment to this site, the Ipernity platform can be restructured into a sustainable site and saved. More specifics will follow in the coming days. So keep the hope!"

Don't lose hope.

Team Ipernity have just published an article entitled The First Results for the Survey, which I'm guessing many of you will want to read! :)

Fantastic work, Paul! The photo doesn't look overly optimistic though... I have a feeling more and more people are deserting Ipernity, comments are eerily quiet. Not sure the membership association can succeed with all the negative comments around but we won't know if we don't try!

Yes, I think the dark processing gives an insight into how I'm feeling about this site of late Gudrun. And as you say with all the people that have left and the negativity that's about it does make it even more difficult to remain hopeful.

To be honest if there was an alternative other than flickr that could offer me photosharing and groups I may well have joined the exodus. That may surprise you. but I'm starting to find the inertia from Team Ipernity and the lack of information from all of those involved in trying to save the site rather tedious. Only this week I've again asked what I think are relevant questions and got no reply whatsoever.

Now, let us pray! ;)

Even today another well-regarded member announced he was quitting the site. I felt I had to comment and question his appalling sense of timing, but 'there's nowt so queer as folk' as they say oop North! Server issues these past couple of days might have tipped a few people over the edge but I hope not.
I too renewed recently and then when the site advised that my renewal attempt was unsuccessful I tried to renew again and of course ended up with a further 6 months (and not 3 as I had intended!). Audrey kindly said she would look into it but it has obviously got over-shadowed by events!!!!. Still I think I have shown commitment to the site already!!!! :o)
Still keeping fingers crossed. Perhaps as suggested by your terrific shot, I should be praying instead!!!!!!!
Best wishes,
Andy

Yes, it seems each day that goes past someone else has left. Today alone I've had a message to say one of my contacts has left and another telling me I've been removed from a group that someone has closed! :(

Out of interest, who is the person that you referred to? Just wondering if it might be someone that I follow too.

It's really not a good time to be an 'ipernitian' ... as I said to Gudrun above I'm starting to find the inertia from Team Ipernity and the lack of information from all of those involved in trying to save the site rather tedious! :(

Gudrun replied to autofantasia:

As far as I know there is a huge amount of work going on in the background and I do understand that many things can't be communicated for legal reasons. But they still should have communicated more often because the silence made people leave. Let's hope it's not too late.
