The Costa Litter ...

For this week's Sunday Challenge, for which the subject was rubbish.

Spotted this coffee cup for a well known outlet lying discarded by the side of the A19 in North Yorkshire. Didn't have to look all that hard though as you see them lying all over the countryside.

The fly gets a caffeine overdose! ;-DD

Everywhere the same problem with these coffee cups, but I like the color - goes well with the green grass

Yes, the fly was an added bonus. Not as sharp maybe as I'd have liked it, but still fairly happy with how it 'polished' up! :)

Great colour contrast. I don't know how you have processed this, or if at all, but the picture has a superb 3D feeling! =O

Many thanks for the lovely comments Sami and for the fave too. And, in answer to your question it has indeed been edited somewhat using various layers, brushes and gradients. The fact however that you weren't certain though if it had been or not has made my day! :)

This type of coffee cup is an ecological nightmare..........they don't biodegrade and are currently not recycleable.

Thanks for the link Keith as I'd been wondering about that myself until Amelia commented above and then you kindly posted that link ... it makes people's laziness all the more irritating. Why can't people just bin it or take the damned thing home! ;)

The fly is fun;-) Nice strong colours too! I'm all for charging for to-go-cups, it's creating a mess everywhere! Why don't people take their own thermo cup and get it filled...

autofantasia replied to Gudrun:

Interesting point Gudrun although as I always bin my to-go cup I'd be somewhat annoyed to have to pay extra simply because some people are born lazy! :(

Boo hiss (at the person who dropped this). There is no need to be so lazy. Wonderful capture of society's indifference.
