Butterflies In November ...

Okay, perhaps not this one, but I have actually seen some on our buddleia earlier in the month.

This particular example was a model of some kind that I spotted mounted to the front wall of someone's house, whilst I was out cycling the other day.

Thought it might make for an interesting shot.

Yes, it does make for an interesting shot! I love how the brick wall is on the diagonal :-)

Glad you like it too Val and thanks for the fave. As for the wall being on the diagonal, I hate to spoil it for you, but it wasn't ... I tilted the camera! ;)

Nice work Paul. Nicely composed and a good idea to angle the camera to get the diagonals in the brickwork.

Glad you like it Graham. As for angling the camera, I hate to disillusion you, but I didn't ... the wall was built like that ... honest! ;)

The angle you captured with your presentation of the brickwork adds a great deal of interest to the photograph Paul. Where we used to live the folks would mount very large wooden butterflies to the sides of their homes ... it always made me think we were being invaded by giant flying creatures ... although they were certainly colorful and eye catching. :)
