1952 Austin A70 Hereford Pick-Up - MXL 642

The A70 Hereford apparently replaced the Hampshire in 1950 and was wider and slightly longer with an extra 3 inches in the wheelbase.

This one must have been the subject of a complete restoration at some point because this lovely old truck was immaculate. Very, very nice indeed!

I wonder how many were made. This one looks all too pristine for a pick-up truck. I am sure the owner has done a great job on it and can be proud of his or her work, but it just don't look right to me!

Yes, I can see Phil where you're coming from with that comment, but it must have been pristine when it was first sold! ;)

A rather posh front end for a pickup. The grill even looks a little Daimleresque to me, although the truck's considerably snubnosed compared to a 1952 Daimler.
