Really, Some People ...

Just want to flag up a new user called John Cabre who overnight had left a spam message on my photostream with a link for a PhotoShop tutorial site.

He has no photos, articles or contacts and so it would appear his sole purpose here is to promote the aforementioned site.

I have blocked him and reported the matter to the ipernity team. If he has left similar messages on your photostream you may want to do the same.

Please note that I did not follow the link he posted as I had no way of telling if it would be safe to do so.

Thanks for the warning Paul. I wouldn't have followed the link either.

Probably harmless, but still a pain in the proverbial if you get my meaning! ;)

a pain in the proverbial ass I say, there's an app for that isn't there?

he hasn't come to this part of Canada yet but if he does I will beat him down with the broom!

Thanks Doc. for the heads up!

I don't mind people being on here for commercial reasons, but I do mind them leaving uninvited links in my photostream. He didn't even have the decency to comment on the image! ;)

I hate when people do this. When Flickr expanded, this type of behavior happened much more frequently. I rarely see it on Ipernity.

autofantasia replied to Esther:

As others have observed Esther there are more and more businesses coming onto ipernity. Not a problem if they're just using it to host photos or they have something useful to contribute, but not like this ... not as far as I'm concerned at least! :(
