Great Central Railway Kinchley Leicestershire 30th September 2024

GWR Manor 4-6-0 7828 Odney Manor double-headed with Modified Hall 6990 4-6-0 Witherslack Hall on the recent Photo-charter. The pair burst from under Rabbit Bridge - GCR Bridge 347.

The conditions on this grey & rainy day weren't perfect for the charter but both locos looked and sounded immaculate.

Good to see the action, and what a characterful bridge!

Loose_Grip/Pete replied to GrahamH:

Thanks Graham. It's a classic GCR bridge built to allow expansion to 4 tracks if needed. Sadly it never was!

Hi Pete
A wonderful and interesting picture, which I like very much!
Great when the loco crew deliberately make the smoke for the photographer!!
Best Wishes, a nice week ahead, and stay safe!!
