Petals ..
- reflecting on black
- this Daffodil is one of the multi-petaled ones in Dogwood Patch - A Garden
- picked and brought inside to count the petals
- but, Mz Daff had a photo shoot first
- keeping my reflection out of the picture
- was a real chore
- one picture had my fingers
- another my shoulder
- how many got thrown away
- oh, lost count
- but as to the petal count
- the outer yellow petals are 18 +
- didn't even go to the very small ones
- and the aroma
- subtle spice
- that was a pleasant surprise
- and no, she will not be renamed 'spice girl'
- just in case you wondered
