The body is not the essence of the human person. ( PLATO)
Plato proves this through the process of elimination.
There are three possibilities, one is that the human person is essentially a soul or a body or a combination of body and soul. The body does not rule itself, therefore it cannot be the body. And if the body does not rule itself it cannot be in combination of the body and soul ruling, therefore the soul rules over the body, and the soul is the essence of the human person.

Le corps n'est pas l'essence de la personne humaine.( PLATON)
Platon le prouve par le processus d'élimination.
Il y a trois possibilités, l'une est que la personne humaine est essentiellement une âme ou un corps ou une combinaison de corps et d'âme. Le corps ne se gouverne pas lui-même, donc il ne peut pas être le corps. Et si le corps ne se gouverne pas lui-même, il ne peut pas être dans la combinaison du corps et de l'âme gouvernant, donc l'âme gouverne le corps, et l'âme est l'essence de la personne humaine.
