One of the two emus (see also PiP) started to wander in my direction. Time to be cautious! It didn't create any problems though.

Thanks, Amelia, I guess they are a little uncommon over there. :-) Out in the open they would stay away, but in the National Park there's always the chance they've had more contact with people, possibly been fed picnic scraps etc. In close quarters they can sometimes peck or, worse, kick with their strong legs and sharp toes.
