A few days ago
came a report that the Large Magellanic Cloud (that's it here) is likely to crash into the Milky Way in just 2 billion years! Hey, we were supposed to be safe from a collision for 8 billion years. Ooops! Better backup of all your more valuable images, just in case. :-) Taken using the Pentax 'astrotracer' on the K1.

Great info, I've been thinking about the blood moon eclipse here that will happen tomorrow, the bummer is that we won't see it because of the stormy skies...but we're holding out hope anyway!!
Re: our road work and being out in the "sticks"....it's totally worth it. I'll take a flooded out road to a frenetic city any day of the week, tyvm! :D
