The hat

Maybe not the greatest image, but this is a copy of a very old Kodachrome slide chosen because of its high contrast, ranging from solid blacks to burnt out highlights. Best viewed on black. I've just written an article on my approach to copying old slides and negatives: www.ipernity.com/blog/tiabunna/4248640.

Beautiful falls and nicely composed with the figure. Enjoyed your article, too, on slide scanning. I used a commercial scanner and was reasonably satisfied with the results. Your way is probably better, but I'm not going back and recopying 4-5000 slides.

A lovely image George. Great hat - but wet feet I expect! Good shot of the waterfall and nice composition.
