Kea at work
Kea are comfortable around people (handouts, please). They're also inquisitive and destructive. We spotted this one in the carpark at Milford Sound, busily trying to extract the door rubber through the gap around the door. Apparently they have been known to enter cars with windows open and pick out the stitching in the upholstery, or enter and trash hikers' tents. Little wonder they're endangered!
Explored.
