Yes, I agree that it is, though the other should in theory be technically better, having been taken with a full-frame camera wih the subject in focus. It was taken in the afternoon by when the sky was cloudless.

Although harsh sunlight used to be ideal for taking colour slides, for digital photography, subdued, hazy sun undoubtedly is better for most subjects.
