Beinn Sgulaird

I took this when climbing Beinn Sgulaird on the West Coast of Scotland. I particularly remember it being very windy on the top and being bombarded with ice crystals from the snow being blown off the mountain. I was glad I had eye and face protection! These mountains aren't high but they are full of surprises.

Thank you very much Jean-Paul. I have other pictures taken here and you are right, the hills look like they have been covered with icing sugar!

A real mountain vista here Chris. It might not be that high but it still looks like it would have been a stiff hike & climb in those conditions. Love the detailed foreground as well as the peak ahead.

Cheers & thanks for sharing with our UK Landscape Photography Group , Herb

Chris Bowness replied to Herb Riddle:

Than you very much Herb. I was suffering on this climb as the conditions tested my fitness. I'm actually fitter now! The quality of snow can make a massive difference when climbing in the winter. The short daylight also is a thing.

Thank you Christa. Yes lots of opportunities, but I don't get up these places as much as I want to. There's always something going on!
