Durante todo el mes de julio, Puerto de la Cruz acoge las fiestas en honor de la Virgen del Carmen. La Virgen del Carmen es la patrona de los pescadores. Durante las fiestas el antiguo barrio de pescadores decora las fachadas con aparejos de pesca.
